You have started teething Bubba. All you want right now is to be held.

Aunt Jamie found a way for you to actually enjoy tummy time. She had surgery this week and couldn't hold you so she propped you up on a pillow next to her. You were very content. We tried it again at home tonight and you're still happy with it.

We had a great weekend. Papa John and Mimi Rita came for a visit, we celebrated Baby Eden's upcoming arrival with lots of friends, and Dad and I went for an afternoon movie date.

Papa took you out and put your feet on the grass. I realized this was the first time you had even touched grass so I had to take a picture.

You are 4 months old today!

Dear Baby Jack,

Your BB's best friend, since the second grade, Mary, came for a visit this week. I changed the days I worked so that we could spend time with Mary too. We met Mary, BB & Papaw at Ray's Cafe for breakfast then you spent the afternoon with Papaw while us ladies went shopping. Boys don't like shopping. Papaw said you were really good, you took 2 naps, had 2 bots, and carried on a long conversation with him.

Your BB and Mary look so much alike that they could be sisters. When Mary gets to telling her stories they both start laughing so hard that I'm always worried that they'll wet their pants. I hope you have at least one lifetime friend, they are gifts.

Dad and I both thought you were showing signs that you were ready to eat cereal. We were wrong. You weren't really having it. You even choked a little bit. We'll try again next week.
